de la Houssaye's Bobalou working as a Louisiana swamp tour guide dog
The primary objective is to get more families into the outdoors together and engaged in Nature Study, Fishing, Hunting, Environmental Stewardship, Camping, Horseback Riding, Hiking, Biking, Birdwatching, Photography, Boating or any other outdoor activities that puts the family in a place where they can experience nature in all its glory and spend a little less time with the electronics.

Another goal is to bring a clear understanding of the true history of the Catahoula Tribe, the Catahoula Lake area of Central Louisiana and the historical working ability of the breed of dog properly named Catahoula Cur.

And a primary long term goal is creating a better understanding of a very much loved and misunderstood breed of dog which has since 1972 been the official Louisiana State Dog. In the end we hope to create healthy outdoor adventure activities that will bring the family together and in a wholesome, fun place where they can experience nature and spend quality time with the most important part of our life: Our family and our dogs.
